Penned in 2104
Across the bridge of cobbled stone
Where pebbles bear your fingerprints
Where trees have learned your cherry scent
The water asks me where you went
and I don’t know
I don’t know
Along the path of river rock
Where amber rays have caught your eye
Where bark and bug have heard you sigh
The falling leaves ask if you died
And I can’t know
I can’t know
I know only
That I am lonely
How these pines they miss you
How I wish to kiss you
Again
